Ragland is a family that loves one another and believes that our effectiveness as a church is directly linked to how united we are. We are committed to providing opportunities for children and adults to know, love and serve Jesus through various discipleship and mission activities.

II. Strategic missions - All feet going

Isaiah 52: 7

We have a strategic plan to maximize stewardship, build relationships with missionaries, and mobilize our fellowship to fulfill the great commission and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ragland members have participated in serving in the Goochland area (our Jerusalem), Southwest Virginia (our Samaria), Nicaragua, Moldova, Guatemala, India and Africa (the world). We also support missions efforts through giving to the Cooperative Program of the SBC and our own missionary efforts.

III. Community outreach - all hands outstreached

At Ragland, we are excited to continue building lasting relationships in the community through meaningful and practical connections. Over the years, we have enjoyed meeting new people and serving our community through various ministries - Vacation Bible School, Awana, Trail Life, Lego Homeschool Group, Firewood Delivery, Brown Bag, Prison Ministry, First Responders Appreciation, Nursing Home

IV. living the bible - all minds transformed

James 1: 22

We affirm that the Bible is both authoritative and effective to change us and make us more like Jesus. Thus, we are committed to helping people know how to read, study and apply the Bible. We offer many different opportunities including Sunday School, Small Groups, Adult Bible Studies, Awana and Youth Group, among others.

V. Dynamic Prayer - all heads bowed

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Jesus expected His house to be a house of prayer and we seek to answer that call. Whether it is by praying in solitude, with our families or friends during the week, or corporately in our worship services and monthly prayer meeting, prayer is the most important thing we do! Pray with us or let us pray for you!

VI. music that stirs - all voices raised

Ephesians 5:19

We are driven by a belief that all tongues and tribes worship God in the throne room. Our music ministry is designed to prepare us for the hearing of God’s Word by utilizing a variety of music that crosses generations and genres. We invite all that wish to participate in the music ministry to join!

VII. MINISTRY THAT ADVANCES THE KINGDOM – All efforts focused

In the body of Christ, each believer has been given at least one spiritual gift. At Ragland, we want to help you identify that gift and equip you to thrive in ministry.
Our committees seeks to serve, not rule.
