Brian seay


Brian came to Ragland in January 2014. He is a graduate of Liberty University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Rachel are parents of two young children.

1 Peter 3:18|”For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.”

“My hope is that God would use me as a preacher of the Gospel to proclaim the glory of Jesus Christ. Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and it is an honor to proclaim Him.”

Youth Leader

Born and raised in Goochland, Brian has been working with youth since 2005, getting his start in a church in Powhatan, Virginia.  Brian has since transitioned here to Ragland volunteering with AWANA and youth group. Brian became the youth leader at Ragland in 2013.

To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Chris winans

Worship Pastor

Chris Winans came to Ragland Memorial Baptist Church in February 2017 as Associate Pastor of Worship Ministries.  He has a B.A. in Sacred Music from Gardner-Webb University and a Master of Divinity with Church Music concentration from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Deborah, and they have three grown children and a daughter-in-law. Chris has been in ministry for over thirty-five years, conducting choirs large, small, young and old, an orchestra, and handbells.   Eight years were serving with his family as missionaries in Mauritius and Japan respectively under the International Mission Board.

Chris’s life verse is Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
